CV and Interviews

CV and Interviews.

Most people concentrate on working to win interviews. If you disagree, think about how you last searched for work I guarantee the bulk of your effort was spent on searching and registering.

Even I, can remember trawling around the agencies desperately trying to ‘flog’ my CV to find a great paying job. If only I had tried to put more effort into the starting point I think the journey would have been a lot more fruitful.

However the part that has ‘high pay back’ is the intangible areas; they can be described as

-        Prep

-        CV Prep

-        Interviews Prep

Make sure you are not spending too much time ‘looking for work’ that when you do get an interview your CV lets you down or you didn’t even know your CV was out of date and riddled with errors.

Are you really ready to be interviewed with your CV stand up, and do you even know what you are going to say in your interview?

A few areas, CV and Interviews to think about are:

-        Why you want this job

-        What you know about the company

-        What you did in your last job

-        Why have you been successful

-        Why are you better than someone else

-       What you did on your CV last job and the one before.

-       Why you left your jobs.
